Travel to Sunday's event: Parking is mostly DIY, other than the car park at the east end of Callendar Park (on Callendar Boulevard). Bulletin 2 gives some suggestions of where to park. The area between assembly and Falkirk High station is best, particularly for WRE competitors.​

Start Times are on SiEntries and published as PDFs sorted by Course above (now up to date, 01/09 6pm).

Bulletin 2 contains the details for the event. Minor updates written in red and written here too:
  • ​Minor changes to start windows. Start times are on SiEntries and above. 
  • Course closing times extended by 10mins in races 1 and 2.

Other important things to remember:
  • On Saturday it is a timed start for all runners. Please arrive on time! It is also a silent start.
  • There are specified allowed routes for arrival by car and train.

Saturday 2nd September - Alloa
  • Knock-Out Sprint for elites, 2-part Sprint for others.
  • Brand new map by a WOC24 mapper - mix of town centre and housing estate terrain
  • Planned by a WOC24 planner
  • Assembly: Bowmar Community Centre
  • Race 1 (Q) starts: Men: 10:00 - 11:00 (tbc, entry numbers dependent), Women: 11:00 - 11:45, Non-WRE: 11:45 - 12:30.  
  • Race 2 (SF / F) starts: SF: 13:30 - 14:30, F: 15:00 - 15:30, Non-WRE: 15:30 - 16:15
                 Estimated entry numbers mean there will be no QF round.

Sunday 3rd September - Falkirk
  • Sprint for elites, Urban for others (UKUL, SOUL)
  • New map of the town centre, combined with existing maps of Hallglen and an adapted map of Callendar Park
  • Planned by a WOC24 planner
  • Assembly: 1st Falkirk Scout Hall, plus finish arena on the High St
  • Race 3. Starts: Non-WRE seniors: 10:30 - 11:30 (if you require split starts, please get in touch at [email protected].) M/W12- : 11:00 - 11:45
  •  WRE starts: 12:00 - 13:00, so non-WRE runners can spectate after they have run.

3 - Men 40+
4 - Men 55+, Women 40+
5 - Men 65+, Women 55+
6 - Men 75+, Women 75+, Women 65+
7 - Men/Women 16-
8 - Men/Women 12 -
Note: Courses 3, 7, 8 are available to enter as open courses, for example for newcomers who are not bothered about UKUL or SOUL points.
Courses 5, 6 and 8 will use 1:3000 in Alloa. All courses 1:4000 in Falkirk.

Sprint Scotland forms a  key part of the build-up towards WOC 2024 in Edinburgh, along with Race the Abbeys (10-11 June), Euromeeting (13-15 October), EUOC's Big Weekend and associated training week (22-28 January 2024), Sprint Scotland 2024 (4-5 May 2024) and the Glasgow City Race weekend (11-12 May 2024).
